Summer Beauty Tips Using Glossier Phase 1
It's no secret if you follow me on Instagram that I love Glossier's Phase 1. The Priming Mosturizer and Balm Dot Com have been used on the daily from the moment they came into my life. With that said, through multiple orders of primer and balm, I've had the same Skin Tint and Soothing Face Mist. These poor loves sat on my shelfie looking pretty for too long! Lucky for these patient soldiers of beautiful skin, Summer's here, and they're off the bench.
Ok, I get it, I can't actually say Summer's here, the Moon, the Sun, and Time haven't declared that yet. With that said, it was hot they other day while I was getting ready, and this alone made my body feel like summer was here, and with it, the desire to change my makeup routine.
You know that feeling when you're drying your hair, but you're not sure if you'll ever finish. Not the one where you have too much hair, but the one where the temperature outside, mixed with the temperature of a blow dryer causes enough sweat that you give up on your roots? If I'm the only one, I don't want to know, it will only upset me. Anyway, whenever that happens, I'm a mosturizer and sunscreen kind of girl. Thanks to the Glossier Skin Tint, I now have the thinnest layer of coverage I've ever seen, and a new friend for my mosturized face! Full coverage girls, this is obviously not for you. If you've ever thought, "This BB cream is just too thick." This is your summertime crush! I'm so glad this gem has been hiding on my shelf! Get some! You won't regret it!
Now the Glossier Soothing Face Mist, or the rosewater spray as some may recognize it. Honestly, I'm not big on rosewater sprays. People love them, I don't get them. The Soothing Face Mist was part of the package, so I got it. I used it a few times, and it is nice and refreshing if you are dry, hot, or irritated, but I just didn't find myself reaching for it very often. Until I found a great use for this little magical mist. I use it on my HAIR! It's weird, but I use it almost every day now!
After I blow dry my hair, and curl it, sometimes the curls are too tight or formal, usually I would just mess them up with paste or pomade. One day I remembered reading about Kristen Ess from thebeautydepartment.com using the Evian Face Mist in her hair styles and thought, why not? She was right, the Glossier Soothing Face mist is now my favorite hair styling product. I style my hair, spray with hair spray, then a bit of face mist and shake my head. Perfect lived in texture!
There you have it! The two unsung heroes of an amazing brand! Do you guys have any products you ignored, but changed your mind about?
