Bow and Arrow Hair Lounge

The best part of getting your hair done, is of course how amazing you feel after! Who doesn't love that moment when you feel the tips of a fresh cut, or look in the mirror after a new highlight, it's the best! Well, the ladies at Bow and Arrow Hair Lounge are taking that idea a step further, and creating the ultimate lounge of beauty and encouragement. Their perseverance and positive energy is contagious, one visit, and your inner "Girl Boss" can't help but push it's way out.

This small lounge, isn't like your normal hair salon. Jena Forest and Cory Butcher just wanted a space where they could stop in, and work on hair, without the drama or stress of the full salon. After talking about this idea for a while, they came across a space in downtown Huntington Beach, that they couldn't pass up! This space would soon turn into the home for all their dreams. The space is small and comfortable, but with huge personality. Looking around, I was surrounded by perfectly placed inspirational quotes and hand made details. When asked about the inspiration for the decor, both agree that they wanted a space to encourage themselves and everyone who enters to follow their goals, and the "Arrow" in "Bow and Arrow" stands as a reminder to always work in the direction of their dreams. This space isn't just for them, and their clients, they're also interested in meeting other like minded stylists in search of a chair or renting out the space for photoshoots, if you need it. This might be the space where you follow your dreams alongside these beauties!

Now on to the product. What will you find in the retail section of Bow and Arrows Hair Lounge? These two wanted products that are hard to find, and of course products that work well (because when it comes down to it, a pretty label only gets us so far, I'm working on my judging issues). That's exactly what Cory and Jena found in both Evo and Tec Italy products.

Evo's line was focused on the professional, and not interested in selling out to larger retailers, they work great, and the packaging was sassy! What more could you want? Well there's more, instead of getting rid of damaged products (which turns out a lot of companies do, I mean, I'll take them!) they donate damaged products to homeless shelters, so awesome!

Tec Italy has been a favorite of Jena's since it was recommended by her hair stylist at the age of 16! She's been using their products ever since, and because it's so hard to locate, clients drive to the salon everytime they need a refill.

For my girls out there rocking the lavender pastel, you know how hard it is to maintain! At Bow and Arrow, they use the Fabuloso system to create a colored conditioner to maintain the most difficult of colors.

Face Balm, matte, moisturizing, this is the product I'm most excited to share with my boys out there. So many moisturizer options exist for women, but not enough that have a matte finish and give the boys what they need. We hear it's addicting too! You should try this boys!
